Product strategy
Shaping the service journey around the workshop, the adviser and the car owner.

Concept · Automotive
A concept for an automotive service app — book the workshop, follow the job live, and see the inspection for yourself. Digital health checks, clear quote and parts approvals, and a full service history in one place, with a dealer platform behind it. Designed for iOS and Android.
An illustrative concept — a sample case study showing how we'd approach Automotive, not a delivered client project.

The context
A service visit is one of the few times a driver has to simply trust a workshop and wait. They drop the car, hear nothing for hours, then get a call about extra work they can’t see — and an invoice that’s bigger than the booking.
Revline is a concept that turns that black box into a live view: book online, watch the job move stage by stage, see the inspection with photos, and approve any extra work as a clear quote before it happens.
The challenge
The hard part of a service app isn’t the booking form — it’s trust. The owner needs to believe what the workshop tells them, and the adviser needs a fast way to show it: what was checked, what’s worn, what it costs, and why.
So the concept is built around evidence and consent — a red / amber / green inspection with photos, line-item quotes the owner taps to approve, and a live status they can glance at any time — the depth of a workshop with the feel of a consumer app.
Skills
Shaping the service journey around the workshop, the adviser and the car owner.
Flows, wireframes and a calm interface that makes a service visit feel effortless.
Interactive prototypes to pressure-test booking, approvals and the status flow.
One native-quality product designed for both platforms from the start.
Mapping booking, inspection, approval and handover into one honest, glanceable loop.
A shared graphite colour, type and component system across every screen.
What we'd build
Book a service slot, pick a workshop and adviser, and confirm the job before the car ever arrives — no phone tag, no walk-in guesswork.
Watch the service move through its stages in real time — booked, on the ramp, in progress, ready — so the owner always knows where their car is.
A structured vehicle health check with technician photos and a red / amber / green view, so findings are shown, not just described.
Extra work and parts arrive as clear line-item quotes the owner can approve or decline in-app — no surprise on the invoice.
Every past visit, inspection and invoice in one timeline, so the car’s record travels with the owner instead of a folder of receipts.
A shared back office where advisers manage bookings, jobs, inspections and approvals across the workshop from one screen.
Under the hood
The screens are simple; the flow behind them is not. A concept like Revline has to keep the owner’s app, the adviser’s dashboard and the job on the ramp in step — booking, inspection, approval and handover — so every stage the owner sees is the stage the workshop is actually on.
Every stage of the service pushed to the owner as it happens on the workshop floor.
Technician photos and a red / amber / green report attached to the job, not just described.
Line-item quotes for extra work and parts the owner can approve or decline before it starts.
Every visit, inspection and invoice kept in one timeline tied to the vehicle.
A dealer platform where advisers run bookings, jobs and approvals across the workshop.
One product, both platforms, one design system.
“Drop the car, watch the job, approve the work — the whole service visit, in the owner’s pocket.”
Design system
A single confident graphite marks every action — book, track, inspect, approve — against clean white lists, so a workshop full of detail reads as one clear next step at a time.

A service visit the owner can actually see — booked, tracked, inspected and approved from the phone, instead of waited out in silence.
FAQ
Revline is an illustrative concept for an automotive service app — a sample case study, not a delivered client project. It shows how Namtech would approach the Automotive sector: workshop booking, live service-job tracking, digital vehicle inspection reports, parts and quote approvals, and full service history, designed for iOS and Android.
Revline is a concept, so nothing was shipped to a client. As a sample, Namtech designed the product end to end: the workshop booking flow, live job tracking, digital inspection reports, in-app quote and parts approvals, service history, and a dealer platform for advisers — all unified by a single design system.
Yes — in a real build we would scope integration with the dealer management or workshop system up front, so bookings, jobs, inspections and invoices stay in sync and advisers never rekey data between two systems. Revline is shown here as a concept to illustrate that approach.
