Product strategy
Shaping the content, subscription and engagement model around what keeps readers coming back.

Concept · Media & Publishing
A content app with subscriptions and engagement. A personalised feed surfaces the right story first, a paywall turns a reader into a subscriber, and saved and offline reading keep the piece with them anywhere. This is a sample concept showing how we'd shape a media app for iOS and Android.
An illustrative concept — a sample case study showing how we'd approach Media & Publishing, not a delivered client project.

The context
People read on the commute, in a queue and in bed — in bursts, across a dozen apps competing for the same minutes. A media brand that wants recurring revenue has to earn the open, hold the read, and then ask for the subscription without breaking the flow.
Kited imagines that as one product: a personalised feed that leads with the right story, a reading view built for focus, and a paywall that arrives at the moment a reader is already leaning in.
The challenge
A paywall that shows too early loses the reader before they care; one that shows too late leaves the subscription on the table. Engagement has the same tension — comments and notifications that keep readers close, or noise that gets the app muted and deleted.
So we designed the feed, the paywall and the alerts to work together: a calm reading experience first, a conversion moment placed where attention is highest, and engagement that gives a reason to return rather than a reason to switch off.
Skills
Shaping the content, subscription and engagement model around what keeps readers coming back.
Flows, wireframes and a calm, readable interface built for long-form attention.
Interactive prototypes to pressure-test the feed, the paywall and the reading experience.
One native-quality product concept designed for both platforms.
A conversion flow that turns a free reader into a paying subscriber inside the app.
A shared magenta colour, type and component system across every screen.
What we'd build
A home feed that surfaces the right story first, tuned to what each reader actually opens and reads.
A clean, distraction-free reading view with typography built for long-form — the piece, not the chrome.
Metered, freemium or hard paywall with in-app purchase, so a free reader can convert without leaving the app.
Save pieces for later and download them to read on the commute, the flight or in a dead zone — synced when back online.
Reactions, follows and a comment thread that give readers a reason to return instead of bouncing after one article.
Breaking and topic alerts timed and targeted to get opened, not the blunt broadcast that gets muted.
Under the hood
The screens are simple; the plumbing is not. Kited would rank a personalised feed, run a metered paywall against in-app billing, cache saved pieces for offline reading, and target notifications by topic — all while feeling instant on a phone in one hand.
A feed ordered by what each reader actually opens and finishes, not just what published last.
Free, freemium or hard paywall with in-app purchase — placed at the moment attention is highest.
Saved pieces cached on device so the commute and the dead zone still read, then synced back.
Comments, reactions and follows built to bring readers back rather than broadcast at them.
Breaking and topic alerts timed and segmented to get opened instead of muted.
One product concept, both platforms, one design system.
“The feed earns the read, the paywall earns the subscriber — one app, both jobs.”
Design system
A single confident magenta marks every action — read, save, subscribe, reply — against clean, typographic reading views, so a feed full of stories reads as one clear next thing to open.

A content app that reads beautifully and earns its keep — a personalised feed, a paywall that converts, and engagement that brings readers back.
FAQ
Kited is an illustrative concept for a media & publishing app — a personalised content feed, subscriptions and a paywall, saved and offline reading, and audience engagement through comments and notifications. It is a sample case study showing how Namtech would approach a content app for iOS and Android, not a delivered client project.
This is a concept: Namtech shaped the product and designed the app experience end to end — a personalised feed, a distraction-free article reader, subscriptions and a paywall, saved and offline reading, comments and audience engagement, and smart notifications — unified by a single design system across both platforms.
Yes — that is core to how a content app earns. Kited shows metered, freemium or hard paywalls with in-app purchase and billing, so a free reader can be converted into a paying subscriber inside the app without breaking the reading flow.
